So tired

The ER released Larry xmas eve with a prescription for pain meds and some strainers to (hopefully) catch the stone in. Yesterday morning he was miserable with the pain, which later stopped almost as quickly as it had begun. He told me that when this happens it usually means the stone has moved. Later yesterday morning he thought he had passed it but I don't think he did because he woke up with the same agonizing pain this morning.

The doctors who tended him in the ER couldn't do anything surgical to dissolve the stone because it is too small, so he has to wait until it works it's way out.

Ouch.

He wanted to have my family over for dinner anyway and he did really well most of the day. We've decided to postpone the trip to SC, though. Turns out that was a good decision even though we'd though he passed the stone. Especially now that we know he didn't. There's no way he'd be able to drive like this. He can barely move. I keep checking on him and wanting to do something to help him with his pain but he tells me there's nothing I can do.

That's one of those medical problems I never want to have. Good move waiting on the trip and I hope it works it's way out soon *shudder*

Thanks,Dave. We hope it does soon too.

I can relate to this being one of the medical issues you never want to have - me neither!

Not after seeing what Larry's been going through.
